detached house and ideally located near to Arthur's Seat and within
walking distance of all major city centre attractions. Ard-na-Said is
one of few Guest Houses able to offer free off street parking.
Take time to peruse our site. We have extensive details of each
room, all of which are large and bright. They have been remodelled for
2012 with new en-suites and decor sympathetic to the era of the house.
Our breakfast menu is extensive and offers you fresh produce, which
is well presented, setting you up for another day of discovery on our
fascinating and historic city.
Our home is a detached Victorian villa built in 1875 and boasts its
own gardens which surround the house. Off street parking is at the
side. Guest rooms are available on ground and first floors and have
en-suite facilities and digital tvs. A wifi network is also available.

Edinburgh Zoo is owned
by The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. The Society was founded in
March 1909, and the Zoo opened in July 1913. Set in 82 acres of sloping
parkland, the Zoo is situated three miles to the west of Edinburgh city
centre. Apart from getting close to over 1,000 rare and endangered
animals, there are many different ways to enjoy your day out.

Holyrood Palace,
founded as a monastery in 1128, the Palace of Holyroodhouse in
Edinburgh is The Queen's official residence in Scotland. Situated at
the end of the Royal Mile, the Palace of Holyroodhouse is closely
associated with Scotland's turbulent past, including Mary, Queen of
Scots, who lived here between 1561 and 1567. Successive kings and
queens have made the Palace of Holyroodhouse the premier royal
residence in Scotland. Today, the Palace is the setting for State
ceremonies and official entertaining.
Scotland's new Parliament
sits at the foot of Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile in front of the
spectacular Holyrood Park and Salisbury Crags. Constructed from a
mixture of steel, oak, and granite, the complex building has been
hailed as one of the most innovative designs in Britain today. Drawing
inspiration from the surrounding landscape, the flower paintings by
Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the upturned boats on the seashore, Enric
Miralles, one of the world's premier architects, developed a design
that he said was a building "growing out of the land".
